Blind Services

  • Vision Impairment and Intellectual Disability

    These resources are dedicated to raising awareness of resources for individuals with vision impairment, legal blindness or deafblindness and intellectual disability.

  • Vocational Rehabilitation

    Vocational rehabilitation services are offered by the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission.

  • Specialized Services to Children

    When your child is legally blind, help is available through the Commission for the Blind Children's Services Program. Children's Services Social Workers have a wide range of information about all aspects of legal blindness in children.

  • Specialized Services to Elders

    The BRIDGE Program provides independent living services to blind elders aged 55 and older. Services are directed toward the better management of secondary disabilities and build upon and complement other agency services that the consumer may be receiving.

  • Deaf/Blind Multi-handicapped Services

    Community and residential services for the deaf-blind and multiply impaired.

  • Employment Opportunities for the Blind


  • Consumer Assistance & Program Support (CAPS)

    The CAPS office provides counselors whose responsibility is to ensure that Commission staff and the legally blind community work together in achieving common goals.

  • Volunteer Program

    The Massachusetts Commission for the Blind's Volunteer Program provides volunteers for registered consumers of MCB services and programs.
